My name is Eduard Pîrvu, and I come from Romania - a place where, not long ago, baseball fields existed only in dreams. But ever since I was a little boy, that dream lit a fire in me that has never gone out.
With no proper fields or fancy equipment, baseball still found its way into my heart. I followed that passion wherever it led.
From Romania to Italy, I had the incredible honor of playing professional baseball, and in 2016, I proudly represented Team Europe in the Asia Winter League, standing among the top pitchers on our team. I’ll never forget the thrill of throwing two no-hitter games - moments that reminded me why I fell in love with this game.
None of it was easy. The road was full of obstacles. But through it all, God’s grace carried me. My faith gave me the strength to push forward, to never let go of the dream.
Today, this isn’t just my story anymore.
Together with an incredible community, I now serve as a baseball coach for Eagles Hațeg and Baseball Baru, right here in Romania. I work with two groups of young players (around 60 kids), teaching them not just how to play baseball - but how to love the game, believe in themselves, and grow into strong people of character.
A verse that has guided me through every challenge is from Isaiah 41:10:
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
This is bigger than one person. It’s bigger than me — it’s a movement.

I am happily married to Rut, a gifted graphic designer. We met in Cluj, and from the very beginning I admired her faith, kindness, and love for God. Together, we have a beautiful daughter named Ava, who brings great joy to our lives.
To use baseball as a tool for discipleship, mentorship, and community impact while building a home for the sport in Romania.
We envision a future where young people across Romania have access to baseball, positive role models, and opportunities to grow in faith and character.
